Profile

Buyers on the hunt for less expensive property on the Gold Coast's northern shore should take a closer look at Coombabah.  Coombabah is popular with families, not only because of its affordability in comparison to Runaway Bay and neighbouring Paradise Point, but also because of its laidback village-style atmosphere. It has a number of parks and waterways, and has easy access to Runaway Bay Hospital and Pine Ridge Conservation Park. The Coomera Rive is also close at hand and is a popular fishing spot with families.

Bordering the Coomera River lakes system, Coombabah is immediately inland of Paradise Point, Hollywell and Runaway Bay. It is an older suburb with newer cluster development around Oxley Drive and its own shopping centre. Real estate here is diverse, ranging from new free-standing properties along the estuary to dry lots within walking distance of the Coombabah Creek's tidal reaches. Brick-and-tile houses are the most prominent style, although renovated colonials and post-war housing are also available. There are lots of riverfront and lakefront homes, along with a couple of retirement homes and caravan parks
