Gilberton may not be densely populated just yet but the suburb's proximity to thriving Ormeau is bound to make the area a future property hot-spot. While the suburb itself does not boast much in the way of major infrastructure at this point, the proposal of an intra-regional transport corridor proves Gilberton is already well and truly on the map. The picturesque suburb runs west to Halfway Creek which borders booming Ormeau and stretches as far north as Jacobs Creek Road. Sandy Creek runs through the centre of this vast suburb.
