Residents of Tallebudgera and Tallebudgera Valley in the southern part of the Gold Coast hinterland, enjoy a little piece of paradise. Along with picturesque hills and valleys and all the benefits of rural living, the area features close proximity to major suburban amenities and is a mere 20 kilometres from the heart of Surfers Paradise.

Much of Tallebudgera is comprised of old farmland, which is now being sold as acreage property. Around 90 per cent of homes are on blocks of at least 2000 square metres and many larger blocks still exist. Property along the elevated Trees Road are highly valued for their superb vistas out to the coast.

Small sections of development have emerged but the subdivisions have carefully retained the natural rural feel that the area prides itself on. David Fleay Wildlife Park, managed by the Environmental Protection Agency, protects and displays a range of native flora and fauna as an environmental education facility.

Along with three golf courses and easy access to the Tallebudgera Creek, the suburb is also home to the Tallebudgera Leisure Centre which supports a range of sport and community recreation activities. The facility also hosts state, national and international events.

A few small stores are situated locally but larger retail facilities are only a short drive away at any number of suburban shopping centres such as The Pines and Burleigh Market Place. Two primary schools are located within Tallebudgera and the abundance of families in surrounding areas has resulted in a range of additional education facilities in nearby suburbs.John Flynn Hospital is around a 20 minute drive away in Tugan
